Experiment Title: Atmospheric Effects on Descent Rate

Team 1 from Newark formed their experiment after running into difficulty calculating certain aspects of their rocket’s performance at the TARC competition. They discovered during this that the descent and recovery portions of their flight were heavily affected by atmospheric conditions including humidity, pressure and temperature. The intention of this experiment was to gather data on flight characteristics in variable environments, and to use this data to form a mathematical model that could assist in designing more accurate systems for future flights, with less trial and error.
